General technical features Wide Body 5000 PSI HGPU

Hycom Hydraulic Ground Support test units can be supplied with either an electric motor or diesel engine. Clients can also customize specific wishes. In the separate PDFs you will find the specific characteristics of our standard units by plane type.

  • Pressure range: 300-5000 psi
  • Current standard: 400/690 V – 50 Hz, other on request
  • Axial piston pump variable stroke with proportional control of flow and pressure
  • Boost pump for closed loop circuit
  • Pressure filter 3 micron absolute, boost filter 10 micron absolute with electric clogging indicators
  • Fluid contamination level NAS 1638 class 6 or better
  • De-aeration and flushing valve
  • Stainless steel reservoir of 240 ltr. with drain valve and filling cap
  • Air/oil cooler with low noise level suitable for tropical conditions
  • Analogue pressure gauge 0-6000 psi in pressure and 0-200 psi in return line. Accuracy 1% of f.s.
  • Digital read out of actual flow suitable for TARAN or ITCAN leak test procedures. Accuracy 0,3% of measured value
  • Flow setting by potentiometer. Set flow display will indicate the value of selected flow
  • Pressure setting by push button + and -, 5000 psi pre-selection push button
  • Temperature and boost pressure shut down switches, emergency shutdown button
  • Heavy duty frame with drip tray. Hydraulic and electric components completely isolated from each other
  • Allowable towing speed 16 km/hour, parking brake on front wheels by placing tow bar in upright position
  • Tie down/lifting points. Forklift pick-up points

Exterior

  • Operator panel with graphic lay-out, display with maintenance and failure indication given in clear text and with protection cover
  • Hydraulic hoses with length of 9 or 12 mtr.
  • Heavy duty frame with drip tray. Hydraulic and electric components completely isolated from each other
  • Canopy out of steel, spray painted with skydrol resistant paint
  • Weight 2750 kg, dimensions 3680 x 1750 x 1665 mm
  • Hydraulic hoses with length of 10 mtr.
  • Option: Quick disconnect couplings to connect hoses to the aircraft

  • Noise level: less than 75 dB(A)
  • One or more in- and outlets with shut off valves
